There are various events held throughout the year in Wauchope and the surrounding Greater Port Macquarie region.

Notable events include; The Tastings of The Hastings, the month long Wauchope Lasiandra Festival, the Hastings Farmers Market and Jazz in the Vineyards.

Timbertown Vintage Car Show

The Timbertown Vintage Car Show allows visitors to experience and enjoy some of the great classic cars of old. With cars ranging from the classic European sports cars such as Jaguars, MGs and Porches to the feisty American made Thunderbirds and Mustangs there is sure to be a car suited to every taste.

So please come and have a great day out, as cars clubs from throughout the Mid North Coast show off their pride and joy through the streets of Timbertown.

12th Annual Steam Festival at Timbertown

The 12th Annual Steam Festival will be held at Timbertown Heritage Theme Park. Showcasing Tractors, Trucks and Steam Engines of the days gone by, anyone interested in engineering or the early pioneering days will definitely find this interesting.

Not only are some rare historical machines on display but there is something on offer for the whole family including some great local food, shopping, country music and even a live bullock demonstration.

When:

Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of July 2011, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

The 2011 Tastings of the Hastings

The 2011 Tastings of the Hastings is one of the premier events held throughout the Greater Port Macquarie Region. The three week event showcases some of the best food, wine, beer and local musical talent the region has to offer.

On show will be produce from over 60 different local food producers as well as cooking demonstrations, patron prizes, children's entertainment, farmer's markets as well as other fine entertainment.

The highlights include; The Slice of Haven Big Brother Brunch, The Wauchope Long Lunch and the Six Degrees of Degustation Charity Dinner.

Saturday 9th October – Sunday 31st October 2011.

Throughout the Greater Port Macquarie Region.

Wauchope Show

Returning to the Wauchope Showground is the Wauchope Show. Come and enjoy fun for the whole family including; rides, show bags, fresh produce and even a destruction derby.

When:

Friday the 7th and Saturday the 8th of May 2011.

Where:

Wauchope Showground.

The Hastings Farmers' Market allows people to purchase fresh country produce at a fraction of the price from the supermarket. This helps in supporting the local producers, the community and advocating healthy, sustainable living.

When:

The 4th Saturday of every month.

Where:

Wauchope Showground.

The 27th Wauchope Lasiandra Festival will be held in March, coinciding with the beautiful purple bloomage of the towns numerous Lasiandras.

The event helps promote the Wauchope township and the beautification of the area. Highlights of the festival include; Lasiandra Swing Supper Dance, the Country Fair, the Wauchope Jockey Clubs annual Lasiandra trophy race and of course the annual Lasiandra Festival Awards.

So please join us in celebrations, and don't forget to wear purple.

Jazz in The Vineyards

The Bago Vineyards beautiful, picturesque, landscapes play host to some energetic, swinging jazz music every month. So come out and enjoy some wine, local cheeses, honey and nuts and of course excellent jazz music.
