Timbertown is considered to be one of Australia's finest heritage parks and Wauchope's main attraction. The authentic village is set up in over 80 acres of forest and is a popular attraction for people all over Australia.

With lots to do and see, Timbertown recreates the pioneer days of old and exhibits the old steam mills, bullock teams and horse and carriage rides. There is a steam train to ride, allowing visitors to see the park in style. After a full day of activities, visitors can feast on freshly baked bread and roast beef from the authentic restaurant.

Established in 1985 by Jim and Kay Mobbs, Bago Vineyards is nestled at the foot of the Broken Bago Mountain, in the Hastings River region on an extensive property, home to over 24 acres of vines.

Bago Vineyards now produces some of the most revered wines in the region using a wide range of exotic grapes such as; Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Verdelho, Viognier, Chanel Paradisa, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Tannat, Savagnin and Chambourcin.

Wauchope Pool

To escape the hot and humid summer days why not come and enjoy a refreshing swim at the Wauchope Olympic Pool. The facility hosts a 50m Olympic Size swimming pool with 1m and 3m springboards, a covered toddlers pool for small children, grandstands, covered picnic tables and BBQ facilities as well as a large water slide.

Swimming lessons are available for people and children of all ages with all Coaches and Instructors being fully accredited. If swimming is not your thing, why not try aqua fitness classes as a great way to exercise, cool off and meet new friends. Classes are suitable for people of all fitness levels.

If Golf or Lawn Bowls is your interest, you can't go past the Wauchope Country Club.

The Wauchope Country Club is a fully licensed golf and bowls club and is home to the NSW PGA Primo Smallgoods Pro-Am.

On site is an excellent 71 par, 18 hole golf course, measuring over 5800 metres as well as two first class bowling greens. The air conditioned club offers patrons picturesque views of the golf course with full bistro facilities available for lunch or dinner.

Camping

Werrikimbe National Park is a world heritage listed national park with magnificent rainforests, heaths, rushing rivers and wildflowers. The national park features a beautiful array of flora and fauna from both the Great Escarpment and Northern Tablelands regions.

It is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of city living, offering peace and quiet and lots of walking trails. There are five visitor areas with basic facilities catering for camping, picnicking and in certain areas, places to swim in the mountainous rivers.

Other reserves border Werrikembe such as; Doyles River State Forest, Mount Boss State Forest, Cotton-Bimbang National Park, Oxley Wild Rivers National Park and Willi Willi National Park. These also offer a range of facilities for you to enjoy.
